Well, what a marvellous day everyone had. Lots of
club members, a few guests as well and of course lots of helicopters
too! Many thanks to the Privett family who once again did a
great job of organising a successful event and especially to Angela who
provided food for everyone! There was also a raffle with a series
of prizes which went down very well.
We were very lucky with the weather which had been looking rather poor a few days beforehand but which eventually turned out perfectly. |
Jamie and Bob Privett organised the fun
competitions. The first of these was a 40-second flight in which
the only requirement was to take off and land 40 seconds later.
This was won by visiting 3D Masters competitor Trevor Burley with a time
of 41 seconds - not bad when you consider you weren't allowed a
stopwatch! Next came the auto spot competition and no one was
surprised when this was won by autorotation specialist Andy Morley who
landed only a few inches off target!
All in all a great, crash-free day! |
